i went to the entrepreneurship talk last friday with Tami and it was really worth it... the first was an MIS guy who started a baking utensils store with a friend.. it was so much Tami that i think it alone made coming to the talk worth it for her: ) He is a parttime employee in a local company wherein he could choose his own sched... kaya he made it a point to set a sched wherein free siya sa morning... he must be one hell of a worker if he could balance two totally different field of work... anyway he talked about the problems that weren't taught in school... unfortunately he wasn't able to finish his presentation... because he needed to give way to the next speaker presentation who was not as interesting as his presentation was...
the next one was an exporting guy... the most interesting point that he raised was that the best way to have money is earn in dollars and spend in pesos.... interesting but he didn't really gave as guidelines as to how we get to do that....: (
third was an heir of her familys company(Victory Liner)... she said that they have this family constitution wherein they should first have three years of experience outside their company before they could enter there and work... pretty sound rule so that the people who would handle the business have more or less made all the Beginner's mistake at their first job...
Last was a strict looking woman who seems to be a no-nonsensse person... she have her basket wrapping business which used to be corporate give away but now they needed to change tactics and went to the wedding give aways...
the talk was closed by the SOM head he gave us a very good way of looking at things... hhe parang brainwashing is more like it... anyway he reminded us about our reasons why we don't want to start a business after graduate... no experience, no contacts, no capital yada yada yada... and then he made us realize that this is the time where there is almost no risk... we still don't have a family to worry about, a house or a car to worry about... this is practically the most risk free time we could ever get... that made me think and made me realize that i have never seen that dilemma that way... and i was actually impressed... he succeeded in brainwashing me. should i be happy for that???

i just signed up for my philo orals next week and i just got the PERFECT time... darn it the signing up was called at random, and i got stuck at the bottom!! hate! hate! hate! what was the chances of getting your name called second to the last with over thiry-forty people in class??? all the friday slots were filled up and i only have saturday 230 onwards... i told my prof that i have a class on saturday and won't have the time to prepare before my orals... so i just chose the very last slot so that after my class in pathway i would have an hour to prepare... and my prof didn't like the idea of waiting for more than one hour for his last student... so he said na i could get the earliest slot... 100PM Friday so i took it na since my prof was in a hurry to go out na and mukhang napipikon na sa akin... ahh!!! and now im fidgeting over the fact that im the very very first!!! : ( i wanted to go early but not that early!!

guidance 2
Another thing that struck me was the question how my parents show their love for me… I was stumped… I know that they love me but im not sure how they show it… I just know period… and then when he asked me how I show my love to them... I had a ready answer of helping them out in the store… when I said that it made me realize that we mostly see what we do and forget what other people do for us… it made me feel so ungrateful: ((
And then there was what class have you most enjoyed?? I said psych because my teacher was kalog; ) hhe he then asked who my teacher was… so I said kirby chua and unfortunately he is a good friend of my counselor and he wrote kalog beside sir chua’s name… and I was suppose to say that he was the one who exposed me to the most sexually oriented class I have ever took and that he is a very liberal teacher and don’t forget weird… thank God that I didn’t: ) in the most inspired teacher I told him Ibarra since she was the only teacher who actually “inspired” me to study in advance lol and the one who least inspired me was my English teacher.. the counselor was shocked when I told him about the month when my teacher didn’t talked or taught us anything and just gave us worksheets to answer… hhe and I forgot to add my LS teacher and then my calculus teacher and my physics lab teacher….

guidance 1
Guess what… I have an IQ of Superior!!! I was like no kidding!!! lol I can’t believe it: )
Anyway I learn about that when I went to a guidance interview… it started out pretty awkward... I would just answer with a yes or no … he asked about all sort of stuff from my yearly qpi to the family life to my goals and as cow prints here have coined non existent love life lol…
Well, my counselor asked me if I am currently in a relationship which was obviously with a no hhe then he asked if I ever liked someone in Ateneo… so I thought of J.. and the list of questions and my answers are..
What is your current relationship??? We are still friends
Do my parents know about him?? No…(hell no..)
What did I see in him?? Nice, religious???, and gentleman… it is pretty hard to find a guy who is still a gentleman.. (hhe the counselor was guy and he agreed)
What do my friends think of him??? I told him na my friends thinks that he’s nice din: ) (where could you find a guy that is so nice??)
What do I feel about my friends’ comments??? This question was hard.. I paused so long and just answered happy... (what was he expecting me to say??)
What are the things we have in common?? I said nothing.. (really can’t think of anything)
Differences??? I said belief and the counselor was confused so I said that he is a catholic and im a protestant… and race (syempre sa important stuffs..)
What do I want for our relationship?? This was weird...i didn’t even need to think about it… I told him that I want us to stay just as we are. The counselor wrote yet after my sentence and I corrected him saying ever… am not sure why I answered that way... I mean it just came out and it sounded right… until now I am still thinking why maybe because I don’t like him na: ) or im afraid of complications…
funny as it was.. it really made my day: )

first project down
After days of preparing and having limited budget, we finally arrived at the day of our outreach... anyway, three days ago the article on a newspaper was about social oriented organization… right on time.. I was almost giving up and starting to feel too tired to push through all this… well, the articles in that newspaper reminded me that with this project, we might actually make a difference… where have I said that?? anyway that article and the fact that I have a pretty makulit co project head made me finish this and try my best to make it work out…. I can’t say that im looking forward to the next outreach… but, I am at least back on track:)
The event went well… thank God:) even if we had only 14 volunteers which included us, I think it was more what should I say… intimate… and in like it better that we had an assigned kid so that we could be able to actually make an impression… the other time that I attended an outreach… we were just there to facilitate and wasn’t really able to bond with the kids… and all the volunteers (ahem!!) were cooperative and were really staying with their kids and vice versa…
My kid was vergel he was so shy and quiet… I really need to get close to him to actually hear what he is saying… he usually mumbles his answers which made it harder to understand… but at least he was cooperative:) and he really tried his hand on painting even though he kept on saying na he is not used to painting… he was pretty creative naman... and he showed me some of his tricks in gymnastics by walking with his hands..
Oh yeah and how could I forget the spider... since we were using watercolor.. Obviously we would need water.. the CR there was not as dirty as I thought… it wasn’t smelly but there was no water in one sink and then there was a dead insect on the other… so I went to the one near the floor.. wherein there were two buckets with water… when I moved it so that I can place my bucket below the faucet and then a big big spider came out…: ( I almost shouted but I literally jumped a few meter away from it holding an empty bucket in case it comes rushing to me… hhe that’s not the story coz I went out and asked for help… and a certain person was no help (hhe..) so I went to the nearest guy who told me naman na he was not afraid of spiders:) so I led him to the cr and pointed out the place where I needed to get water and pointed out the lone spider which is very near it… hhe he was like “I think that’s a poisonous kind of spider” lol he was desperate enough to try the sink with the dead insect which was the size of a cockroach… I ended up getting water outside the building and came back finding my co project head courageously bringing water from the CR: )
it was a great afternoon even though i was so tired and sweaty after it: ) and hopefully others thought that it was worthwhile too: )
