CAS Christmas pArty

another christmas party down one more to go : ) hope its better than tonights....

we had our department party today.. oops yesterday pala.. it was okay naman medyo walang ginawa and konting pictures and konting games and a lot of booze..

wasnt able to drink since commute lang kami pauwi and yung mga kasama kong pauwi eh walang balak uminom. puro hard drinks kasi kaya alangan din ako.

grabe i was home by 1115. super traffic pa kasi nun.. i would have wanted to stay much late pero medyo napagalitan ako for going home past midnight last week. ako nalang ata ang may curfew sa office namin..

i dont have pics from tonight for obvious reasons but i do have pics from the other party.

us pa rin later on the night.. we didnt do much really after the eating we proceeded to program proper.. after presentation picture picture nalang lahat... it was fun kasi ang gulo namin..

rather than walking down the red carpet we opted to be as jologs as possible and asked the guard to take our picture on the red carpet. pero we were quite early naman so there were only a few people who saw us... that's my team minus one(judith) plus one (macky) ampon namin. he likes our team better than his.. who can blame him?!?

hsbc party

last friday was hsbc's christmas party..

we were off the hook by 230 so kahit 4 or 5 pa kami umalis eh no one wanted to work na.. so im dead pagbalik coz i left a tom of job pending.. hhe cant resist my lazy side...

anyway the party was nice naman.. there were fashion shows performances awarding raffles and the likes.. oh yeah sa PICC siya and the food was not so great: ( there were a lot naman pero they were the taste were typical lang..

we had presentations per team.. i was assigned sa costumes.. fortunately or unfortunately... it was a boring job but at least i didnt have to dance in front of the whole hsbc crowd.. pero sayang din coz di ko na experience yun.. anyway it went well naman.. even though we didnt won sa presentation we won naman sa over all: )

the picture takings were fun.. even though i didnt have my own camera.. knowing that marami naman ang magdadala: )

i'd upload pictures as soon as i can get a hold of some pics..

i wanted to go home at around 12 since i wasnt planning on drinking and dancing na naman.. but unfortunately i needed to wait for a friend who does not have any plans of going home early. i just could leave her kasi baka mamaya magkalat pa.. anyway wait for the pics nalang: )

Christmas party 4-6 2006

there were around 20 of us... me,lor, christine, abi, adel, edward, joyce, elijah, lawrence, sheena, gi, tim, andrew, kor,spencer, bt, mary anne yun na ata lahat..

little asia beside california pizza in tomas morato.. it was nice to meet paminsan minsan.. but sometimes it feels weird how people changed and not change..

edward seems to be more religious.. he keeps on talking about songs and poems..

abi is still the girl who listens more and talk sensibly.. adel was late and just came a few minutes before we left..

christine wants to continue studying.. i think she's taking IT

lor is working or training in st lukes.

joyce is living in gardenville na.. shes really concerned about bicol

elijah is getting chubbier : ) inamin naman niya.. planning on going to hk to work in a software company.. he's just waiting for his ID

andrew is still the ma poise na guy..

well there's kor who speaks in super arte english... i hope she gets over that "accent" asap..

the others i was not able to talk to talaga..

it was catching up and sharing tsismis.. sayang nga we didnt went for coffee na after..

its funny how one could learn a lot about another person thru profiles and blogs.. its so easy its scary.

it makes sense tuloy to delete everything and start anew every so often like R here..

one of us in the office used to super hate our boss L.. now since medyo ok ok na sa work ok ok na din sila.. people started inviting each other sa friendster and they ended up as friends which was inevitable naman..the night na she was planning on deleting her blog entries.. boss L texted her saying na nabasa niya yung blog niya LOL it was full of crazy stuff and she was really bullsh**ing our boss.. pero it was all taken lightly naman.. parang joke nalang since ok nanaman sila.. pero syempre kakahiya pa din.. malaman mo ba naman na yung comments sayo dati were in the likes of "as a person ok naman siya pero as a friend marami na akong kaibigan" ouch

Christmas na

it's really weird how we love Christmas.. Other than the fact that it is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ which honestly is not the first thing that comes to mind in most minds...

prior to december we have the "ber" months which everyone knows is the start of Christmas thinking... who to give what to give who would be giving me gifts whens the party where to go what to eat what to wear.. okay maybe that's pushing it..

anyway since we're almost halfway thru december and it seems that i would be celebrating my Christmas alone lulubus lubusin ko na ang pre Christmas celebration.. *my parents and three siblings might be going to beijing na talaga.. and my other bro would surely have friend gimmick during those no classes and no work days..

anyway so far.. i have not started with my shopping... other than the two for kris kringle.. i dont even have a wishlist yet.. we are supposed to comeup with a list of things we want to received from our "mommy" it should be aroung 500-1000 and i cant seem to find stuff that's between that range.. its always either too cheap or too expensive: (

i super hope the christmas party would be fun.. since mukhang may christmas would be not...

hsbc quirks

things that make me realize that my work is starting to be my life

• i answer the phone with "hsbc" rather than "hello"
• i cant leave the pc open without wanting to lock it
• Ctrl + Alt +delete = locking of pc

it feels weird to be actually working.. ive been working for more than half a year na.. more than a semester in school.. i cant say i love it but at the very least eh im getting used to it..

if only i like the work...

dinner with the higher up

hhe just the CEO.. old story na bt i just wanna have a place to write the event down.. all employees gets to have a dinner with the ceo.. that is unless you left/resigned na before getting an invite.. ang random kasi ng pagpili.. kaya you dont know if masasali ka ba sa next or not... big deal siya for us newbies(still thinks myself as a newbie kahit na di na ko technically newbie)..

from our group 4 kami.. me, L (my boss) A (sa loans siya di niya boss si L pero same yung boss ng boss niya and boss ni L) and M (2nd week palang niya tapos nasama na siya sa dinner... sa CDU din siya like me pero sa main bank siya kaya di din niya boss si L) there are some others from the other depts syempre..

me and A were thinking na kung paano kami pupunta sa forbes.. kasi we dont have a car.. we need to reserve a sit in the bank car which would be provided for makati base and ortigas base people.. ayaw ni A mag ask kay L na isama kami sa listahan kasi di nga naman sila close.. so syempre ako nalang nagsabi sa kanya..

by some typo or miscommunication.. nakasulat sa list of invitees na ang line manager ko is not L but yung supervisor namin.. edi tampo itong si L kaya sabi ba naman na ayaw niya kasi sinabi ko daw dun sa HR na hindi siya yung line manager ko.. LOL sobrang immature talaga nun.. so i needed to convince him na hindi ako yung nagsabi nun.. i wasnt able to talk with the HR guy coz i was out for lunch nun.. it was so funny.. in the end sabi niya sabay nalang kami sa kanya since may car naman siya..

it took a lot of convincing kay A bago napapayag kasi nahihiya daw siya.. i asked M na din to go with us since willing naman si L ihatid kami pabalik ng office afterwards..

the ride to forbes was pretty awkward.. kasi ang tahimik ng lahat.. nahihiya kasi yng dalawa kay L.. itong si L naman napakasuplado kasi kaya lalong nanahimik yung dalawa...

the dinner was ok.. masarap naman yung food pero hindi siya ganun ka bongga.. there was fish and pork and veggies and pasta and prok pa ata ulit.. buffet style sya.. pero home cooked daw lahat.. galing may chef siguro sila sa bahay... nandun yung CEO with his wife.. umiikot sa mga tables.. pero wala naman naging interactions masyado.. we just smile and nod at them while they kept on giving small talks sa table...

may desserts and wine.. desserts lang kinain ko since my parents WARNED me away from liquor grabe para naman kasing malalasing ako from one glass of wine......

the dinner ended around 8 plus.. sayang nga eh kasi si tin may was riding with the bank car.. it was going straight to ortigas tapos mag mmrt sila nina C.. i was offered to go with them na nga kaso.. di ko maiwan sina A and M kay L... so imbes na makauwi ng mas maaga.. and mas madali... umiikot pa talaga ako.. literally.. coz nawala kami nina L sa forbes..

galing naman kasi kwento ng kwento.. yun mamayang konti napansin niya na hindi na nya alam yung pinupuntahan namin.. lahat nalang ng tao na makasalubong namin eh tinanungan na namin.. iba iba pa yung sinasabi kaya paikot ikot lang tlga kami.. i was laughing so hard and teasing him of being super ba d with directions buti nalang hindi ako iniwan sa kung saan.. sabihin ba naman na "ah ito alam ko na toh" then lost again "sabi na dapat dito eh" then lost again.... LOL yabang kasi eh.. pero at least better than nung papunta na sobrang tahimik ng lahat..

it was such a waste of friday night.. may ibang dinner pa naman sana akong pupuntahan.. pero at least i got a chance to be in the CEO's foyer... sayang talaga coz i love looking at other people's place.. but other than a glimpse of their living room wala na: (
